Day 11

We are finally finished!!!!!! Amelia worked this morning and finished it before school. I made a few last minute changes and helped edit it for any last minute mistakes. I am very happy to be done with the project. It was a good experience, but very stressful because we were so pushed for time in the end. I took the rest of the period to work on my paper.

Day 10

This was a very stressful day. Tristan and I worked to get everything into the computers. We went through and made a to do list of everything we needed to do. I emailed Kelsie and Brittney so we can get all of their work into the computer before tomorrow morning. I think that we will be very pushed for time, but I am planning on working during lunch. 

Day 10

This morning I had people put their captions and headlines into the computer. Daniel and Lauren both got them in. I tried very hard to get as much done as possible since the magazine is due next week. Yesterday Kelsie and I put her pictures and captions into the computer, she is all set except  for a spinoff. I think that we are doing very well and should be able to get everything done on time. 

Day 9

Today Tristan and I put more pictures into the computers. We made a few changes on the layouts but otherwise they are finished. Tomorrow I am going to work on getting captions and headlines from everyone so I can put them into the computer. We should have enough time to get everything done before Wednesday. 

Day 8

Today Tristan and I continued to put the spreads into the computer. We finished putting them in, so we started placing all of the information. There is still a lot of missing material, but I think that with Amelia working, she can get us all of the information. On Friday, I will finish putting everything in and have everybody put in their own captions. I put in my IMA fun facts today as well. 

Day8

Today Tristan and I continued to put the layouts in the computer. We are halfway done putting the layouts in the computer, but they are all on paper. On Friday during study hall, I put my story and pictures into the spread. We will hopefully finish the spreads tomorrow.

Day 7

Tristan and I worked on the layouts today. Tristan put the layouts in the computer while I finished designing the other ones. We printed out the layouts that we had finished and I filled them out so each person knows what they have to get. We are almost finished, we just need to finish putting everything into the computer. 

Day 6

Today Tristan and I went to the lab and worked on our layouts. Tristan put the layouts into the computer, while I worked on the layouts for the second spread. We still have a lot of work to do to get the layouts finished. I like what we have so far and  the theme is flowing very well. Tonight I will need to fix the spinoff that Aly edited. 

Day 5

Today Amelia and I worked on the layouts. We used the layouts that I started on last week and we changed them to fit the format that we wanted. Our main design themes are 3 pictures in a row and diagonal boxes with fun facts. They are sketched out on paper so I will need to put them into the computer tomorrow. Over the weekend, I was able to take pictures of the IMA as well as writing the spinoff. They are ready to be put into the computer as soon as we have the layouts ready. 

Day 5

Day 4

Today our group finished setting deadlines. We also talked about what elements we wanted on our page. We decided on colors for our page. Tristan, Amelia and I went to the computer lab and picked out fonts. We chose fonts that had a rounded look. I think that they will look really nice together on the spread. 

Day 3: Deadlines

Today we set individual deadlines to make sure that we get all of our work done. It was hard to do because most of our group was not here. We were able to set deadlines for everyone that was here. My deadlines are Tuesday. I will have the spinoff and pictures done by Tuesday. I will work with Tristan to get the layouts done by Tuesday as well. I started to work on the layouts today, but I need to work with Tristan to get ideas from him. I think that we will easily be finished by Tuesday. 

Day 2: Planning

Today we finished deciding on jobs. We figured it out, but it seems that many of the jobs overlap so everyone is working on apart of a spread. We decided what would be on each spread and we organized it by themes. I worked on organizing the spreads and typing them out. Even though I am a layout editor, I am going to be doing part of a spread. I will take pictures and write a review of an exhibit at the IMA. It worked out because I will already be there on Friday night. I should have the spinoff done by Tuesday of next week, so I can put it into the computer. Tristan and I will start designing the layout on Thursday this week. I hope that we will be done by Monday, so we can start putting everything into the computer. 

Day 1: Organizing

Today we decided what our magazine was going to  be about. We are going to cover exciting things to do in Indiana. Each spread has a different event to do and we brain stormed what each page would have. We also decided who would do each job. I am going to be the layout editor. This will be a good job for me because I like using indesign and it will be something that I can do to contribute to the group.
